Some of the more unusual Halloween-related claims received by Pets Best Insurance include:
  • An Australian Shepherd being treated for a mysterious bite wound on her neck. 
  • An Alaskan Malamute ingesting a corn cob decoration. 
  • A mixed breed dog ingesting walnuts, which are toxic for pets and can block intestinal tracts. 
  • An English Setter getting at the candy supply and winding up at a veterinary hospital after overindulging.
